Cruz tried to force a constitutional point of order – which requires a 51-vote threshold – to challenge on the record the Constitutionality of Obama's illicit Executive Amnesty. Reid kept refusing. At the same time, Lee was pushing the amendment YOU have been SHOUTING FOR to the CROmnibus spending bill that would have BLOCKED the funds Boehner duplicitously rammed through the House Obama MUST HAVE to implement his unlawful Executive Amnesty.

These efforts have led to a contentious weekend of non-stop procedural duels on the Senate floor over the CROmnibus and SCORABLE VOTES ON THE RECORD for Democrats and Republicans alike. KUDOS to Cruz, Lee, Sessions, Vitter and a few others who stood with them to put a dent in the Boehner-McConnell era of "fool-the-voter!"

PLUS Harry Reid NOW must advance for confirmation his last-minute slate of nefarious Obama judicial and administration appointments in the full glare of public and media scrutiny. These confirmations were going to be advanced in a rump session next week by Reid ANYWAY – but they very likely were going to have gone UNCHALLENGED by already out-of-town Republicans in another dirty deal with McConnell!

Of course, liberal rags like Politico and The Hill are falsely reporting the Establishment lies that the Cruz and Lee endeavors against amnesty on our behalf were "naive" and "backfired" empowering Reid's maneuvers and infuriating the GOP – the truth is, Cruz, Lee and Sessions have merely EXPOSED McConnell's duplicity in giving Reid a pass next week to do whatever he wanted before the Senate recess – with NO votes scored for political betrayal of the GOP conservative base!

In other words, the fix was in and YOU helped Cruz, Lee and Sessions throw a spanner into their works!

"While the Senate considers the CRomnibus spending bill, all we've done was simply request to hold a vote on a measure to stop President Obama's amnesty," Cruz said in a late Friday Facebook post about the Cruz-Lee efforts. "Instead, Majority Leader Harry Reid is holding a series of votes today (Saturday) for the sheer purpose of blocking that vote on Obama's amnesty. Harry Reid's last act as Majority Leader is to, once again, act as an enabler for President Obama, by blocking this vote on the President's amnesty. Reid is going to an embarrassing length to tie up the floor to obstruct debate and a vote on this issue because he knows amnesty is unpopular with the American people and he doesn't want the Democrats on the record as supporting it."

Incoming Senate Budget Committee chairman Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), said through a staffer in an email to reporters that these tactics from Reid are similar to how the Senate Democrats haven't produced a budget in years.

But it is not just the Democrats – it is Republican "leaders" too!

"Last night, Senator Cruz sought to have senators go on record whether they believed the President's executive amnesty is Constitutional, and Senator Lee sought a vote on prohibiting spending on said Executive Amnesty," Sessions said. "Reid blocked both attempts. Just as he did for three years in not producing a Senate Democrat budget, Reid is shielding his members from having to show their constituents where they stand on Constitutional separation of powers, the rule of law, immigration policy, and protecting American workers and national security."

"While there will not be a shutdown, Reid could very easily have done the democratic thing and simply allowed votes," he continued. "Senators would have been free to vote for the president's lawlessness, defeated Cruz and Lee, moved on to the year's remaining business, and been on flights home this morning. But Reid would not allow that. As such, efforts continued to let the American people know where their elected officials stand on an unconstitutional executive amnesty of monumental consequence to our nation's future."

Cruz said until Majority Leader Reid allowed a vote on a measure to stop President Obama's amnesty, he and others would continue to insist upon regular order and use every tool at their disposal to ensure there is a vote. Cruz's constitutional point of order only required 51 votes to pass, and with all 45 Republicans obliged by YOU to vote for it, only six Democrats would be needed to support it for it to succeed.

House Speaker John Boehner RELIED ON DEMOCRATS to pass his 1,603-page amnesty-funding Omnibus spending bill while giving NO ONE TIME TO READ IT BEFORE THEY VOTED TO FORCE ALL OF ITS CORRUPTION DOWN OUR THROATS AND STICK US WITH THE TAB!

We DO know however that this bill is crucial to the Chamber of Commerce cheap labor strategy, and amnesty crony Boehner's "pass now, fight to defund later" LIES are just that – and seek to help further embed Obama's unlawful "prosecutorial discretion" amnesty in our immigration system.
